Parts and Accessories Guarantee: Our warranty includes coverage for any damaged or defective parts and accessories supplied by us, including used auto parts and car parts, available both in-store and online.

Extended Service Warranty: We provide an extended service warranty on most vehicle parts, offering you additional peace of mind when making your purchase.

Labor Costs Exclusion: Please be aware that our warranty does not cover labor costs associated with part installation or repairs. For expert installation, we recommend reaching out to Brother’s Auto Repair.

Defective Parts Resolution: If a part is determined to be defective, we will prioritize providing a replacement. If a replacement is not possible, a full refund will be issued for the amount paid.

Reordering Policy: For reorders made before the return of the original part, payment for the replacement part is required upfront. A refund for the initial part will be processed once it is returned.

Specialized Warranties:

  • Used Engine Verification Report: Assuring the quality of engines through a detailed verification report.
  • Personal Insurance: Additional protection for individual vehicle owners.
  • Commercial Engine Warranty: Customized warranty options for commercial engines.
  • Diesel and Gasoline Engine Warranty: Extended coverage for both diesel and gasoline engines, with warranties up to 5 years.

At Gears and Engines, we take pride in offering high-quality used engines and transmissions to customers across the nation. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our comprehensive return policy. If you need to return an item to our Used Parts Yard, please provide a detailed explanation of the return, which will help us understand the situation better. If a part is returned that doesn’t meet the criteria outlined in our warranty policy, a 25% restocking fee will be deducted from the total paid amount.

Please note, if a customer refuses to accept a product at the provided delivery address, Used Parts Yard will not be held responsible. To ensure accuracy and satisfaction, we strongly recommend consulting with an expert or mechanic before placing an order to confirm you are requesting the correct part. Communication is essential, and we are here to assist you with any inquiries. If an incorrect order is placed, we will not process a refund or accept a return, so please exercise due diligence when ordering. All products must be returned within 30 days from the delivery date in their original condition.

We offer free shipping on all used engines nationwide, reinforcing our commitment to delivering value to our customers. However, please note that a domestic delivery fee of $75 will apply, and no pallet charges will be included.

In our ongoing efforts to serve our customers, we would like to remind you that all used engines and canceled orders are subject to a 25% handling and restocking fee. The customer will be responsible for all shipping costs unless a replacement is authorized under our warranty policy. If an order is canceled after payment has been processed but before shipment, the customer will also be responsible for credit card processing fees.

At Gears and Engines, we guarantee that all our products will function as expected. You can trust that all moving parts will perform smoothly, gears will shift seamlessly, and bearings will operate efficiently.

Before assembly, we thoroughly clean every transmission component, including the oil pan, to ensure optimal performance. For automatic transmissions, we replace the oil and filter to enhance system efficiency. We also replace seals and gaskets before installation to ensure a secure fit. We take extra measures to flush and flow-test coolers and lines to guarantee smooth flow, and torque converters fully engage with the front pump for reliable torque transmission.

For manual transmissions, we install new clutches, pressure plates, and slave cylinders, and we turn the flywheel to ensure optimal balance and functionality. We maintain proper fluid levels to ensure smooth operation. Please note that while we take care with all components, we cannot guarantee that seals in turbos will be flawless, but these seals may be replaced within a specified timeframe as per our policy.

Our warranty covers the door shell, but does not include accessories such as windows, regulators, handles, hinges, or interior panels. Similarly, body parts like hoods, fenders, bumpers, quarter panels, and header panels do not come with extras like locks, trim, headlights, or grilles. If the color of a body part does not match your vehicle, it will not be covered under warranty or be a valid reason for return. However, we offer repainting services to match your vehicle’s color.

We are committed to ensuring that every product you receive from us meets your expectations. Our guarantee reflects our focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Our team is always available to assist with any questions about our products or warranty.

We also want to provide transparency regarding the high-wear parts, such as water pumps, distributor caps, spark plugs, and wires, which may need replacement. Our engines come fully assembled, including manifolds, oil pans, timing covers, and either fuel injection or carburetors. However, our guarantee applies specifically to the long block. Components like manifolds, gaskets, seals, hoses, oil pans, timing covers, belts, fuel injection systems, and carburetors are not covered by the warranty.

Regarding electrical components such as engine computers, body control modules, transmission modules, and transfer case modules, these are not intended for testing purposes. We guarantee that these parts will have the correct manufacturer part number, and they are covered under a replacement warranty. Should you encounter a non-working module, we will send up to one replacement. If a module requires a reset through a certified dealer, the part cannot be returned until the dealer confirms it has been properly handled. Alterations to electrical parts will void the return policy, as we prioritize maintaining product integrity.

At Gears and Engines, we uphold integrity, responsibility, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Our website is designed for users over 18 years old. While younger users may access our site, we do not verify ages or assume responsibility for age verification. We kindly request that users under 18 obtain permission from a parent or guardian before placing an order. Parents or guardians concerned about their child’s use of our site can contact us, and we will promptly delete any information submitted by minors to protect privacy and adhere to ethical standards.

Our product selection, including OEM auto parts, demonstrates our dedication to quality and versatility. These parts are carefully chosen to ensure compatibility across various makes and models. We use a sophisticated VIN compatibility tool to guarantee the used engine you order will be an exact fit for your vehicle.

We also want to highlight our transparent policy regarding deposits. All deposits made to Gears and Engines are non-refundable unless specifically stated otherwise. This policy reflects our confidence in the quality of our products and our commitment to honest communication with our customers.

Warranty May Be Voided Under Certain Conditions

Your peace of mind is our priority, and our warranty reflects our dedication to quality and customer satisfaction. However, please note that the warranty may be voided under the following circumstances:

  1. Improper Installation: The warranty will be void if the used engine is not installed correctly, following professional standards and guidelines.

  2. Racing or Extreme Use: The warranty does not cover engines used in racing or other high-performance activities, as these subject the components to stresses beyond normal usage.

  3. Inadequate Lubrication or Cooling: The warranty will be void if the used engine or transmission operates without proper lubrication or cooling, regardless of the cause.

  4. Installation Delays: The warranty will be forfeited if the used engine is not installed within 30 days of delivery.

  5. One-Time Claim Policy: Our warranty covers only one claim per product purchased. We aim to ensure your initial experience is flawless, reflecting our commitment to quality.

  6. Original Purchaser Only: The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser. We guarantee that the used engine will be free from knocking, excessive oil consumption, and cracks in the block, in line with industry standards.

Our warranty claim team is committed to assisting you to ensure a successful experience. Please note, applicable fees may apply when processing your warranty claim. We value your trust and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and customer service.

Guidelines for Used Engines

Our updated policy, applicable to both current and former users of our website, supersedes any previous policies that may be inconsistent or conflicting. Please note that we reserve the right to modify or update this policy at any time. We strongly recommend checking this page regularly for the latest information.

As part of our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, we offer a one-time labor warranty claim for the products purchased from us. This warranty reflects our dedication to providing excellent service. Please note that only one labor warranty claim can be submitted for each product. This limitation ensures fairness and helps maintain the integrity of our warranty program.

Engine Warranty

At Gears and Engines, our warranty on all components reflects our unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Please take note of the key details of our warranty:

Non-Transferable Warranty: The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser. It does not extend to subsequent owners.

Quality Transmission & Installation Requirements: If the item is improperly installed or if any repairs or replacements are made to the used engine components, including but not limited to the cooling, fuel, electrical, engine control, ignition systems, belts, hoses, or filters, the warranty will be void.

Racing and Competition Exclusions: Our warranty does not cover engines used in racing, competition, or similar activities.

Modifications & Non-Conforming Parts: If a used engine has been modified, repaired, or fitted with parts that do not meet the original manufacturer specifications, the warranty will be voided.

Overheating & Lubrication Issues: Any damage to the engine caused by overheating or insufficient lubrication will result in the voiding of the warranty.

Heat Tabs: If a used engine is returned with missing or melted heat tabs, the warranty will be considered void.

UEAT Warranty: The UEAT warranty does not apply to initial installations. Claims must be submitted and authorized by a UEAT warranty technician before any work is done. All necessary documentation must be submitted within 5 business days of the claim; otherwise, it will be denied without exception. If any issue is identified, the vehicle must be taken out of use immediately; failure to do so will void the warranty.

These warranty terms emphasize our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality and transparency. We stand by our products and strive to ensure a smooth and reliable experience for our valued customers.

Limited Liability & Assurances

At UEAT, customer satisfaction is a core value, and we aim to provide the best possible service. However, it’s important for customers to understand the limits of our liability. Our responsibility is strictly limited to supplying high-quality, low-mileage used engines, or offering a refund for the purchase price if necessary.

Warranty Assurance: We offer a comprehensive warranty for our engines and transmissions, regardless of mileage. Our warranty is based on thorough product evaluation and our extensive industry knowledge. We stand behind the quality of our products, ensuring they meet our high standards for customer satisfaction.

Exclusions & Limitations: UEAT is not responsible for any additional costs or consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to, labor costs, engine oil and transmission fluid replacement, towing, freight, phone calls, loss of profits or time, substitute transportation, or any damage to other engine or transmission components. Additionally, we are not liable for any issues arising from improper installation, product modifications, faulty or incompatible parts, or abnormal use or operation.

Odometer Mileage Considerations: While state and federal regulations govern odometer mileage for most used vehicles, accurately determining the mileage of used engines and transmissions is not feasible. Since engines are often sold separately from their original vehicles, precise mileage can’t be confirmed. Therefore, any mileage representations should be considered approximate.

Customer Consultation & Support: We offer detailed consultation and support to ensure our customers are fully informed about the products they purchase. Our experts are available to answer questions, provide insights, and guide you based on your specific needs.

Quality Assurance & Inspection Process: Every product we offer undergoes a thorough inspection and quality assurance process to meet our high standards. This ensures that we can confidently offer warranties that reflect our commitment to quality.

At UEAT, we take pride in our transparent approach, offering top-quality products and the necessary support to ensure a positive experience. Our limitations align with industry norms, allowing us to continue providing excellent service within those boundaries.

Installation Setup Instructions

Please Read Before Installation

Before installing and activating a reconditioned engine or transmission, it’s essential to follow a series of steps. Perform necessary checks, replace accessories as needed, and adhere to a routine maintenance schedule to ensure reliable and long-lasting performance. Certain components and accessories have been left attached to the engine for your convenience, which may help speed up the installation process. However, it is the responsibility of the qualified installer to handle the removal and replacement of parts and accessories. Please note that all parts, including the accessories and wear-and-tear items left on the engine block, are not covered under the warranty.
